Embrace the Serenity
There are so many things to do in the Kangaroo Valley, you will never have time to be bored. If you are looking for rest and relaxation, then you can just soak up the healing ambience of the Valley and enjoy all that is on offer at The Secret Garden Cottage.
Here are some ideas of ways to relax at the Cottage:
- Enjoy the stunning views over the Kangaroo Valley escarpments with a chilled glass of bubbly at the famous Secret Garden Lookout in the comfy adirondack chairs – enjoy the company of the rosellas and lorikeets and, if you are lucky, a wallaby or a wombat might stop by to say hello.
- Stroll through the property – along the white picket fence path, over the bridge crossing the pond, across the sprawling lawns, up the rock garden path, past the fallen tree and along the bush track – your dog and your kids will love you for it! If you’re lucky you might spot Sir Edmund our resident Echidna foraging on the slopes.
- Have a picnic in the gardens.
- Go wombat spotting around the property at night, using the Dolphin torches we supply at the house.
- Find one of many hidden spots in the gardens to enjoy a cup of tea and a good book. Can you find the outdoor bath tub?
- Make home made pizzas in the Outdoor Pizza Oven, and then toast marshmallows over the fire
- Snuggle up on the comfy couches and enjoy a book or a DVD from our extensive collection.
- Play a board game or enjoy a game of outdoor cricket or boules on the sprawling lawns.
- Let the kids run wild on our huge child friendly lawns while you soak up the sun on the outdoor sun loungers.
- Enjoy the morning sun with breakfast on the huge upstairs deck.
- Have a long soak in the spa bath built for two.
